1729: The crowd has dispersed and that ends our updates.

1627: Mashonaland East districts have elected Cde Patrick Makombe as the interim chairperson and will be deputised by Cde Tangai Hove. The Women’s League will be led by Cde Lym Gororo and deputised by Cde Patrcia Ruzawe. The Youth League interim chairperson will be Cde Norman Guramatunhu his deputy will be  Cde Samson Chipfiko.

1350: The districts from Mashonaland East pass a vote of no confidence in Cde Kaukonde and his entire  executive and will elect a new one today.

1326: The demonstrators are now gathered inside the provincial offices and are listening to various speakers.

1313: Zanu PF supporters have managed to gain entry into the party’s Marondera provincial offices. Youths are singing and dancing saying “Tengesa uone” “Mapurisa ari pasi paGushungo”

1255: Some youths are jumping over the perimeter wall to gain entry into the provincial headquarters.

1236: War veterans leader, Cde Chrispen Mashayamombe,  has just addressed the crowd and told them that they have to wait while police leadership in the province consult on the way forward. He accuses police of taking sides and says the provincial offices should now be known as Kaukonde and associates.

1215: The standoff between the demonstrators and police, barring them from entering the provincial HQ, persists with the law enforcement agency beefing up security around the property.

1159: The demonstrators have reached the  party’s provincial headquarters but are prevented from entering the premises.

1136: The demonstrators are now marching peacefully through Marondera town singing revolutionary songs and others denouncing Cde Kaukonde.

1143: Some youths  from Harare are also in Marondera in solidarity with the march. Some of the placards read “Ray katsotsi kemunhu” “We say no to corrupt business tycoons” “Uri Gumbura chaiye iwe”.

1120: The demonstrations have been organised by some members of the Women’s League in the province.

1115: War Veterans address Zanu PF supporters and chronciled Cde Kaukonde’s indiscretions that include undermining First Lady Dr Grace Mugabe., imposition of office bearers among others.

1108: Scores of people are gathering at the Mashonaland East offices of the Zimbabwe National Libertaion War Veterans Association ahead of a demonstration to push for the ouster of Zanu PF provincial chairman Cde Ray Kaukonde.
